*Please remember, most of these horses are a work in progress! I will not sacrifice the integrity of the hoof to carve a perfect foot. Proper hoof development takes time, correct movement, and proper diet.
From left to right: Before and after trim picture, right front, and left front. This mare has navicular syndrome and was in immense pain when I first started trimming her. After a few trims, she is out of her super cushioned Easy Boots and is able to walk soundly in her pasture. The key to alleviating her pain has been a slow and steady bringing back of her heels and toes and re-establishing a heel first landing. Her owner has also been very dedicated to the cause and has increased healing time by taking her mare on walks everyday. This mare is still a work in progress and still needs to build strength in the back of her foot, but she on the right track! If you want more information about navicular syndrome, please see the pamphlet on my Links page.
Danielle massaging HR.
Still a work in progress, but this girl has gone from extremely sore in shoes to sound barefoot! Bringing that toe back little and often is magic.
Check out those pearly whites on HR! He loves his massages!
